Okay. I’ve been slacking a lot recently, mostly because of some medical issues.
But! I’m going to get back into eating properly and exercising when my back issues will allow me to. Hi to all my new followers, too!
Hi anon! I do floor pilates three times a week and yoga four times a week. Occasionally, I have a break and take a day or two off.
My overall intake is usually between 1600 and 1200 calories. I eat more if I’m going to be doing a hard aerobic workout, simply because starving yourself is really bad for you! My net ranges anywhere from 800 to 1200 calories a day, though I try to stay above 1000 because, again, starving your body is really bad for you!
Okay. So.
Hi to all my new followers! I’m Bekkie and I’m twenty. I’m a photography student and I spend most of my time with a camera in my hands. I live in the UK, but not London, sadly. In my spare time, I play a looot of video games and, of course, work out! I’ve lost three stone since the end of July last year, and I’m not stopping until I’m content with my body.
I have a spinal condition which is worsening quickly, and means I can’t do much resistance or high impact workouts. I do a LOT of floor pilates and yoga, and occasionally I throw in some aerobics when I feel capable.
Wow! I leave for a month and suddenly I have another hundred followers!
Thanks so much you guys, I’m revamping my blog and posting more starting tonight.
I got a yoga mat for Christmas; no more carpet burn!
I try not to post things that promote veganism (or whatever, like being healthy, working out, losing weight) by attacking other ways of life, but rather by posting positive things about the stuff I choose to do to be healthy, like be vegan or work-out.
But OH MY GOSH am I sick of hearing…
Claiming that you can get every vitamin and mineral in the same concentrations from vegetables/pulses/grains as you can from meat is entirely incorrect.
Sure, you can get your B12 from spinach or sea vegetables, but the amounts are so low in those foods that unless you eat spinach constantly, there’s no physical way you’d ever meet your RDA. It’s possible, yes, but you’d have to live on a diet of spinach alone.
I mention B12 because it’s a VERY important vitamin. I was vegan for nearly five years, vegetarian for two years before that, and I actually had to give it up and start eating meat again because my B12 levels were dangerously low. I was anemic to the point where I was getting chest pains and passing out every day, all because my red blood cells weren’t working properly because of how low my B12 was. I tried EVERYTHING, from supplements, to shots, to eating up to four servings of fortified cereals a day, but nothing worked. I was sick all the time, as well.
Now don’t think I’m trying to ‘shame’ your lifestyle. Hell, I admire vegans immensely! I wish I could have kept up that lifestyle myself. But just be aware of the facts when you say you can get ‘all’ your RDA of vitamins and minerals from vegan food, because more often than not, you won’t be able to unless you eat an unhealthy diet of one or two foods all the time. I’m sure there are other vitamins that might be difficult to get from plant/pulse/grain matter too, but it’s been a very long time since I did any research on it.
Also, don’t think I eat an abundance of red meat now, haha. In fact, I rarely even have one serving of it a week, and when I do it’s a very small serving because I’m not a huge fan of most red meat anyway. Sardines, Salmon, milk and plenty of other non-red meat foods are very high in B12. In fact, I’m sure that salmon is higher in B12 than beef is!

Day 2 - The Weight you wish to be on Christmas Morning
I’m not picky about my weight, to be honest. To be a definite size 16 would be super though!
